Sierra Sport Aerobatic Slope Soarer Ref: SK003 | |
The original Sierra was designed in the early 80s to put the fun back in slope soaring as most of us were flying 'kippers' with fully symetrical wing sections which models needed good lift conditions to realise their potential, otherwise they stooged around like basic trainers. It was an immediate success and therefore warranted being upgraded to take advantage of the improvements in todays RC equipment i.e. economically priced metal geared micro servos and computerised transmitters with mixing facilities. Construction consists of a fullly sheeted built-up wing with a strong balsa ply fuselage. The Sierra has a good turn of speed, a good light lift capability and an aerobatic performance only limited by the flying conditions and pilot imagination / ability.
